LATEST ROCK RUNNER RACING NEWS Cedar City, Utah, May 6, 2009Rock Runner Racing's Jason Paule has always been a fan of natural terrain. Paule is responsible for opening many of the premiere rockcrawling trails near his home in the Black Hills of South Dakota, where he cut his teeth on the rocks at a young age. So it is no surprise that Paule was eagerly anticipating the second event of WE Rock's 2009 Western Nationals, held on the sandstone of Cedar City, Utah Paule's skills on natural terrain, coupled with expert spotting from teammate Mark Berger, allowed him to place third in Cedar City. This podium finish followed up Paule's second place finish at the season opener in Tucson, keeping him firmly in the hunt for the Unlimited Class championship half way through the season. “I can't say enough about the capabilities of my new Twisted Customs buggy,” Paule commented after the event. “From the forged Trailready rims to the 60 degree steering from the Spidertrax axles, I truly believe that our team has the best equipment available.” ![]() Paule's Rock Runner Racing teammates Brian Errea and Joachim Schwiesow also came into the Cedar City with high expectations after having placed first at the venue last season. Unfortunately, some minor errors on the first day of competition were enough to put them in the back of the pack in the talent-rich Pro Modified class. The team was able to battle their way back on the second day of competition, finishing eighth in a field of twenty-two competitors. In addition to hundreds of spectators, Pirate4x4.com provided real-time coverage of the WE Rock event for tens of thousands of viewers on the internet. Following the event, Rock Runner Racing returned to their headquarters in Rapid City to begin preparing their vehicles for the next WE Rock Western National event, slated to take place in Reno on June 6th and 7th. |
